It has officially been a year since I’ve had a drop of an alcoholic beverage. I was never a heavy drinker, but AA would be giving me a pin or medal or something right about now if I were.

Jay and I finally got Elijah to attempt to say Evelyn’s name. Before we’d say, “Say Evelyn” and he’d point to her and say “Bebe!” Mind you he only has the “Ev” part down, but it’s a start.

For finishing the semester with my sanity and maintaining my 3.8 GPA despite giving birth halfway through the semester

Today I babysat my nephew Elijah for the first time since I had Evelyn. There was a half hour time frame where I felt like calling her to pick him up because I was over my head, but I survived.

I managed to make myself a hot lunch-with one hand. Of course, by the time I got the chance to eat it, it wasn’t hot anymore. One day at a time.
