Jake Gyllenhaal has taken first place in the annual “Hot 100″ gay icon poll at AfterElton.com for the second consecutive year. 

Right after publishing a successful novel, right before buying my mother her dream house, I’ve penciled “become a gay icon” into my list of things to do before I die. She won’t mind, I’m sure. I’m not even joking a little bit.
